Dr. Todd Burton

Todd Burton, M.D. - established All About Children Pediatrics in 2001.  He grew up in Dallas (Richardson), graduated from Stanford University with a Bachelor of Arts in Human Biology, and then received his Doctor of Medicine from The University of Texas-Houston.  Dr. Burton did his residency training at Arkansas Children's Hospital in Little Rock.  He was an integral part in the development of the Collin County Health Center – a free health clinic in McKinney for uninsured children.  Dr. Burton sponsors and volunteers for many community events in Collin County and is passionate about outreach opportunities.  He and his wife Liz live in McKinney and have three children – Blake, Kylie and Brett.

 

Dr. Kelley Smith

Kelley Smith, M.D. – grew up in Richardson and joined the staff of AACP in 2007.  Dr. Smith graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Behavioral Biology (and minor in French) from Johns Hopkins University, and then received her Doctor of Medicine degree from Texas A & M College of Medicine.  She completed her pediatric residency at Scott & White in Temple, Texas. Dr. Smith has completed several half marathons for charity, including The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training.  She is passionate about the Make a Wish Foundation and the Children’s Miracle Network. She particularly enjoys sharing the lives of children under her care, as their families grow.

 

Dr. Nazima Zakhidova

Nazima Zakhidova, M.D. - completed her Bachelor of Arts in biochemistry and cell biology at Rice University in Houston, Texas. She earned her medical degree and completed her pediatric residency program at the University of Texas Health Science Center School of Medicine in San Antonio, Texas. 

Dr. Zakhidova spent several years working as a pediatrician in California, then relocated back to Texas. She says she looks forward to building long-lasting relationships with her patients and families.

Dr. Zakhidova was born in Uzbekistan and moved to the US as a child. She went to middle and high school in McKinney. In her free time, Dr. Zakhidova is Zumba certified and enjoys dance instruction and practice. She also enjoys international travel and cultural immersion, and speaks Russian fluently.

 

Heidi Hall, PA-C

Heidi Hall was born and raised in Wisconsin where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Wisconsin Lutheran College. She then attended Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Illinois, where she obtained a Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Practice. After graduating she spent several years working in Emergency Medicine in Wisconsin. After moving to Texas she began working in Family Medicine in the Austin area and then McKinney. She took time away from work to care for her two young children and is now thrilled to join All About Children Pediatrics, where her children have been patients since they were born. She is looking forward to getting to know and help care for the families of AACP!

When not working, she enjoys spending her time with her husband Shane, and their two wonderful children, Connor and Lily. She also keeps busy with reading, traveling, church activities, and following her Wisconsin sports teams.

 

Piper Merrill, PNP

Piper earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Louisiana State University and her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Northwestern State University. She then earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

In her free time, Merrill stays active in her church. She also enjoys dancing and staying active. “I take ballroom dancing and hope to compete in the next several years. I love the outdoors, hiking, working out and nature itself.” She also enjoys spending quality time with friends and family.
